In addition to my work with papercuts I make a lot of prints from plants and flowers that I find in my yard. Some plants can be pressed and saved for many uses and others must be used fresh and discarded when they wilt.

I lay the plants directly on the treated fabric and expose it for 8 minutes.

If I want a shadowy look or the appearance of motion I move the items at some point during the exposure.

I enjoy using different colored
fabrics for the nature print,
such as this print of dill and trumpet vine printed on yellow cotton.
