Care Instructions

My blue prints are photographic images, they are not dyed. Rather than think of them as expensive bandanas I consider them very affordable pieces of art. They are sensitive to many of the chemicals commonly found in powdered detergents such as phosphates, soda, chlorine, borax, and peroxide. These chemicals will discolor a blueprint! Salt will also discolor the print. If you plan to wear a bandana to the beach or you expect it to get sweaty you should choose a tea colored (brown) bandana because the blue color has already been removed and it can be used like any bandana.
  • To Hand Wash
You can hand wash your blueprint in one of these liquid soaps:Ivory, Joy, Dove, Palmolive, Tide, Wisk, or Woolite. Remember, liquids only. Please don't experiment! Detergents don't list their ingredients on the label, so it's hard to know if it will discolor your print.
  • To Machine Wash
If you want to machine wash your blueprint you must carefully wipe and rinse away any trace of powdered detergent from previous uses. I suggest you permanently switch to one of the recomended liquids if you want to machine wash your print. Use cold water, gentle cycle, and tumble dry on low heat.
